At Lynchburg Youth Hockey, we believe in developing our kids to be more than just hockey players. We focus on character development and furthering a relationship with Christ.
This is our entry level program for the beginner athlete. No experience is necessary to participate in this program. The program is geared towards players aged 4-8, but athletes of all ages are welcome to participate. Athletes are old enough to participate if they are comfortable enough to leave you at the gate. This is our entry level program for the beginner athlete. No experience is necessary to participate in this program. The program is geared towards players aged 4-8, but athletes of all ages are welcome to participate. Athletes are old enough to participate if they are comfortable enough to leave you at the gate. This program offers one hour of ice per week at the LaHaye Center. The on ice supervision is made up of LYHA Coaches and Liberty University Players & Coaches. On-Ice activities are very informal and focus on the basics of skating, and puck handling.
If your player can skate well enough to keep up with the Learn to Play drills than we encourage you to move them into our recreational House League. The House leagues are available to players age 5-10. This Program offers two hours of ice per week. 1 hour for practice and 1 hour for games. Practices are more formal and conducted using t

The House leagues are available to players age 5-10. This Program offers two hours of ice per week. 1 hour for practice and 1 hour for games. Practices are more formal and conducted using the USA Hockey suggested Station Training Model. LYHA coaches lead all of the drills/games. Our travel players also participate in this program and are encouraged to help the newer/younger kids with skill development. This is purely recreational and all ice times are at the LaHaye center.
This is for our most competitive athletes looking to push their game. Travel Hockey will practice at the LaHaye Ice Center, but have games at other rinks in Virginia and North Carolina.
